Rooted in values, focused on you

Collaboration. Honesty. Amplification.

Creativity & Precision: From artistic direction to set and prop styling, I sweat all the details so you can shine.

Resourcefulness: Whether it’s a new mocktail recipe for a beverage session or clever set design to make your vision come alive, I’ll get it right.

Collaboration: I pull back the curtain, inviting you into the creative process so the final image reflects your story.

Inclusivity: Rooted in decolonizing and trauma-informed values, my work centers awareness, consent, and reciprocity. I collaborate with small businesses, LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and Indigenous makers whose stories are often overlooked, creating imagery that honors identity, community, and connection to the land.

Where are you located?

Based in Portland, Oregon, and serving clients throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, with select travel available for projects that align with BSI's mission and values. Please fill out my contact card to discuss location and details.

Do you offer packages?

Yes. B. Steele Images offers thoughtfully designed photography packages for businesses that need intentional, high-quality imagery without the commitment of a fully custom project. Packages are available for branding, products, food and beverage, and select event coverage.

If your project has unique goals, requires extensive creative support, or involves licensing beyond standard usage, a custom proposal can be created to fit your specific needs.

What's your turnaround time?

Most projects are delivered within 4 to 6 weeks following the production day. Turnaround time may vary depending on the scope of the project, the number of images selected, and any additional retouching or creative support requested.

If your project has a specific deadline, expedited delivery may be available for an additional fee and can be discussed during the planning process.

Do you offer retainer options?

Yes. B. Steele Images offers retainer partnerships for businesses that need consistent, high-quality photography throughout the year. Retainers are ideal for restaurants, cafés, packaged goods brands, farms, makers, and other product-based businesses that regularly require fresh content for websites, social media, marketing campaigns, menus, and seasonal promotions.

Retainer projects are customized based on your goals and may include scheduled production days, image licensing, creative planning, and ongoing content support to help maintain a cohesive and intentional visual presence.

How do I book a session?

Getting started is simple. Fill out the contact form or email info@bsteeleimages.com to start the conversation. From there, we'll discuss your project goals, timeline, and photography needs to determine the best fit for your business.

Do you only work with plant-based brands?

Not exclusively. B. Steele Images specializes in working with plant-based and ethical brands, but welcomes clients from a variety of industries who value authenticity, sustainability, community, and integrity. The best partnerships are built with businesses that are intentional about their work and committed to telling their story in a meaningful way.

Can you help us tell our brand story visually?

Absolutely. Photography is about more than creating beautiful images. My approach is rooted in understanding your values, products, people, and purpose, then translating those elements into visuals that feel authentic and aligned with your brand. Together, we'll create intentional imagery that tells your story, resonates with your audience, and supports your business goals.

We don't have a set date for our project yet, can we still message you?

Yes, absolutely. You don't need to have all the details figured out before getting in touch. There are several aspects of a project that we can discuss before selecting a date, including your goals, vision, timeline, and photography needs. Reaching out early also helps ensure we have the opportunity to explore working together and begin planning a project that aligns with your business. Contact me anytime to start the conversation.

When is the best time to contact a photographer for a new project?

As soon as you start thinking about your project. You don't need to have all the details figured out before getting in touch. There are several aspects we can discuss before selecting a date, including your goals, vision, timeline, and photography needs.

Reaching out early gives us time for thoughtful planning and helps ensure we have the opportunity to explore working together and create imagery that aligns with your business. That said, if your timeline is shorter, don't hesitate to reach out. Depending on availability and project scope, B. Steele Images may still be able to accommodate your needs.

Do you offer food event photography?

Yes! I offer food event photography for pop-up dinners, restaurant launches, tastings, food festivals, and other culinary experiences. My approach focuses on capturing the vibrant energy of the event, beautifully prepared dishes, and genuine interactions to tell the complete story of your gathering and create imagery you can use long after the event ends.

Do you offer photos for Employee Branding, Couples, Family, etc.?

Yes. In addition to Food, Beverage, and Product Photography, I offer a limited number of portrait sessions each year, including employee branding, couples, and family photography. To ensure each project receives thoughtful attention, I accept up to seven portrait clients annually.

If you're interested in working together, please fill out the contact form to start the conversation.
