The creation of B. Steele Images

Finance to Photography

After over a decade in finance, I craved a more creative career. Photography had always been a passion, and transitioning from portraits and events to food, beverage, and product photography felt like the perfect next step. Combining my strategic skills from finance with my artistic vision, I founded B. Steele Images to partner with ethical, plant-based brands. This journey allows me to create compelling visuals that tell powerful stories while aligning with my values and helping businesses thrive.

Beyond the Lens

Beyond photography, I enjoy spending my downtime hiking, exploring the city like a tourist, and discovering new music to move my body to. These moments spark creativity and keep me grounded in the storytelling process that defines my work.

I’ve, also, been reconnecting with the Native community in Portland, Oregon, taking meaningful steps to educate myself about my ancestry and heritage protocols. This journey of self-discovery and cultural exploration not only enriches my personal life, but also deepens the intention and authenticity I bring to my creative projects.

Summer 2025 goals:

  • Kayak! I had shoulder surgery last year and am excited to build up strength and endurance this summer.
  • Shop local Farmer's Markets. If you see me, say hi!
  • Explore 3 areas of Portland. If you have any suggestions, send me a DM on one of my socials.

EM & JH

"I cannot thank B. Steele Images enough for such a wonderful experience with my photos. I did not have any professionally done prior to this, and I loved that Brigit suggested props and different spaces in the Gardens. The photographer was on point with keeping us focused on the goal of capturing photos. They kept us laughing and truly enjoying our time outside!"
