MEET THE PERSON BEHIND THE LENS
My name is Brigit
Based in Portland, OR, and a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, I bring over 15 years of photography expertise to every project. This unique combination allows me to support your goals with strategic insight, ensuring your brand stands out and achieves measurable success. My background includes collaborating with Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike, drawing on skills in problem-solving, organization, and time management to deliver exceptional results.
Working Together
When we work together, collaboration is at the heart of my work. I foster a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their ideas, ensuring a seamless process from concept to final delivery. As a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, my work is deeply informed by my heritage and my ongoing journey through decolonization. This process has shaped my approach to storytelling, allowing me to honor authenticity, community, and sustainability in every project. Together, we’ll create compelling images that not only align with your business goals but also reflect the heart of your brand.

The creation of B. Steele Images
Finance to Photography
After over a decade in finance, I craved a more creative career. Photography had always been a passion, and transitioning from portraits and events to food, beverage, and product photography felt like the perfect next step. Combining my strategic skills from finance with my artistic vision, I founded B. Steele Images to partner with ethical, plant-based brands. This journey allows me to create compelling visuals that tell powerful stories while aligning with my values and helping businesses thrive.
Beyond the Lens
Beyond photography, I enjoy spending my downtime hiking, exploring thrift stores, and discovering new music to dance to. These moments spark creativity and keep me grounded in the storytelling process that defines my work.
I’ve, also, been reconnecting with the Native community in Portland, Oregon, taking meaningful steps to educate myself about my ancestry and heritage protocols. This journey of self-discovery and cultural exploration not only enriches my personal life but also deepens the intention and authenticity I bring to my creative projects.
